Welcome to my website – – the purpose of which is to provide helpful information on non-mainstream, or adventure type travel, in the South East Asian Region.

Background: Since 2012, when I first started this website, I’ve logged a lot of km around South East Asia; including multiple trips to Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam. During that time, I’ve explored dozens of caves, hiked up volcanoes, trekked to some amazing waterfalls, and visited a number of remote historical temple sites.

Adventure travel information: The content of the website is primarily directed at independent travelers, seeking adventure and sightseeing experiences in non-mainstream tourist areas in the South East Asian Region. To keep you informed and up-to-date I do my best to provide accurate, in-depth and current information, bolstered by professional quality photographs and, more recently, YouTube Videos.

Developing Skills: My travels in South East Asia have given me an outlet to develop my photography, video, writing, and blogging skills. I’ve also improved physical skills such as kayaking and abseiling, and the specialized skills required for moving around safely in caves.

Getting Off the Beaten Track: It’s an opportunity to get off the beaten track of the tourist beaches and air-conditioned restaurants, that so many seem to hardly move beyond, and get to some of the more remote, and interesting, locations of this varied and diverse landscape. And the fact is getting off the beaten track isn’t all that difficult, if you’ve got access to the right information and plan things correctly.

Website Redevelopment: With the help of the Phuket based website developer, CRAZY WEB STUDIO, I’ve redeveloped my website to give it a more professional appearance. The primary focus of the site is still adventure, and getting off the beaten track in South East Asia. However, to simplify things for the readership the extended trip reports will now be offered as INTERACTIVE TRAVEL GUIDES; in downloadable PDF format and predominantly for use with mobile phones and tablets.

Interactive Travel Guides: Towards the end of 2021 I will be offering the readership, and other independent travelers, a new type of travel guide (for a small fee) which, in keeping with the digital age, will be fully interactive. My interactive guides will enable you to open a Google Map travel route, or links to guesthouses, restaurants, cafes and motorbike rental agencies, simply by clicking on an image, or a tab. With Megaworldasia’s Interactive Travel Guides, getting off the beaten track has never been easier. Your next adventure is just one click away.

Upcoming: To keep the readership interested and informed, this website will be periodically updated and further developed, to include more information on travel and tours around the region. Within the next four months travel guides for more locations in THAILAND will become available. These additional locations will include PA TAEM NATIONAL PARK, BUENG KHAN, MAE HONG SON and the UMPHANG DISTRICT.
